Did this ever work? Does it work with HDLC? Notice that O in the debug output? That means Output. In a working environment, you would also see I for input. Very strange indeed, but the best advice is to start troubleshooting at the bottom of the OSI model. Let us know. Now you got us curious. :-

Matt, I would try the advice of Priscilla and Mario. Start with a simple config and work your way up. Here's a check list: 1. Check the cable and make sure both ends are firmly seated and are plugged into the correct ports. 2. Set the serial interfaces on both ports back to the default using
