Because the CCNA is about 1000 times easier than the CCIE, which makes it a
nice entry level certification. That's like asking, "Why would anyone
bother getting a high school diploma instead of going straight for their Ph.
D?"

First you learn to ride a bicycle (CCNA), then you learn to drive a car and
get a drivers license (CCNP), then - if you're a good driver - you can learn
to drive a Formel 1 car (CCIE).
If you start out learning to drive the Formel 1 car, you will most likely
get in a wreck and get badly hurt or d
Because CCIE is tooo hard to get in comparison to CCNA

CCNA is considered a stepping stone toward the CCIE. The CCNA is only a Q&A
test of basic routing/switching principles. The CCIE is one Q&A test, plus a
2-day lab, which covers... verything.

CCNA provides the base ground in understanding inter networks, and then work
your way up. Just like taking Calculus, you need the basis of Algebra/Math.
It mostly depends on the individuals goal and work experience.
Some people have years of working experience and don't need to start at the

I'd say probably because theory doesn't require hands on training. The CCNA is mostly about theory with a few IOS commands thrown in. The IOS commands are pretty basic.sh run , sh star , copy flash tftp .Whereas the CCIE require

i've read just about every response, and some made me laugh so hard. the
ccna tests your memorization of OSI model, and a few very basic ios
commands. requires absolutely no reasoning; nor any real nderstanding on
networks. CCNP is harder, it demands real hands on exp, understanding of all

Another analogy:
CCNA is the goalkeeper rolling the ball out to the left fullback. A simple,
reliable beginning that sets up a future play.
CCNP is the center midfield (Lothar Matthaeus in his best years) taking
control of the pitch and making things happen while Klinsmann drifts in
toward the p
