I had the same problem with a 1600. Did you recently upgrade the flash. If so that may be the problem. I loaded an image with ip/ipx/at/appn and the image was to big for for the amount of ram I had, I had 12mb and the image needs 16. There was not enough memory for the console. I could telnet in
