Hi,
I have a problem trying to tftp router configs through a cluster-pair of
checkpoint-nokia firewalls. I can Telnet from the inside to the router
outside the firewall but get a firewall error message when attempt to tftp
the config back through the firewall. This all worked fine on Checkpoint

Check for hardware problem... either DRAM faulty or Flash faulty or possibly
insufficient Flash.. you may have 12 meg instead of 16 meg flash but the IOS
still show as 16 due to some errors

I had some trouble downloading a new BIG 12.2 image to my 2500.
It erased the flash OK and started the download, but rebooted after a few
packets.
This seemed to be due to a bad DRAM, and when I removed that the download
worked just fine.

Found the boot buffer command to extend the buffers - but this doesn't seem
to have the desired effect. The buffer overflow point seems to vary on every
attempt.
Also messing with the service compress-config, but I take it that this will
only have an effect once the config is already on??

Wow, I thought I was the only one with that problem. I had
similar issues with putting a 12.1 image on a 2500. It rebooted quite a
few times with checksum errors.

Hi all,
This is not a major problem as I am just playing, but having a nightmare
trying to get 2500 image on. I had the same nightmare last time with 12.1.
It went on eventually, for no reason whatsoever, by just repeating the
process.
I seem to remember that there maybe a way to make the router
you have to enable the tftp service and let the router know which files you
wish to publish.
did you put in the following command on the 7200 which is being the tftp
server?
