maybe hyper term just don;t like you the fix for that is terra term and

whant kind of supervisor are you using
?
if it is sup II , you can use normal rollover
cable.
But, if it is sup III , you must use
straight-ahead cable (comes along with Cat5500 , a yellow cable)
