Thanks for your service. The only reason I use the VA is to get my

Hi Rien
In my 11 years on tki's nothing surprises me anymore!!!
I recently suffered from terrible jaw and ear pain. It finally went away but
my blood counts went way up.
Have you bruise your mouth?
Has this been going on for a long time?
Sometimes a wait and see might work.

Hi Jeanie,

Hi again Greenie,
Like you said, don't look back but only forward.
By the way, I am an animal lover whether it be dogs, cats, birds or fish.
I am glad to hear that you threw back those fish where they belong.

Marty, by the way my first Doctor at Northwestern, Dr. Tallman worked with
Doctor Druker. He left their and went to Chicago. Now he's at Cornell
University. My Doctor now in Chicago is the same one that Susan has, Dr.
Altman.

Hi all and thanks so much for the updates in endoscopy.
Did anyone have anything discovered during the procedure?
I have had an ongoing pain in my right side. I am hoping they can solve the
mystery.

Hi Jeanie,
Yup, I've had them too. I've had 15 of them to exact. For me they were
painless. I had general anaesthesia and woke up as they were taking me to
recovery. I have a lot of trouble with anaesthesia, so me waking up while
they were taking me to recovery was no big surprise. I once woke up
Hi Greenie,
First, where in Florida do you live? I am on the east coast, Boynton Beach.
If we are not to far maybe we can do lunch one of these days. If my memory
serves me right I think that you may be in Ft Meyers??? If so then I guess
that lunch is out of the question...

Thank you Marty, Everything you wrote is so true about Gleevec and CML.
It's unfortunate that greed and money has to be in the equations in the
final outcome. After Interferon that almost killed me all that was left was
Hydrea. So when Doctor Tallman called me and wanted be in his study
Hi Greenie,
So you have been on Gleevec for 15 years. That is something good to know
because what would you have done without Gleevec? This drug is responsible
for saving countless lives. Thank GOD it is here or you wouldn't be here
right now.
If it weren't for dialysis neither would I be here ri

Hi Angie,
Very well said.
It reminds me of when I had my bone marrow transplant and had to live in a
plastic bubble in the hospital for many months. A friend of mine came to
see me and even though he couldn't come into the bubble he pasted this on
the outside of that bubble. Any time that I had a
Richard, I am a vet and I would never go to the VA for treatment even for a
hang nail, because I have had previous dealings with them. They were
recently in the news for everything that they were not doing for most of us
vets.
