The PO on my 35-3 put a gate? valve in the hose between the sink and the through hull. It is accessible via the lifting panel forward of the sink. Allows me to prevent sink fill-up on a starboard tack without accessing the through hull which is under the v berth cushions. -- Jonathan Indigo C&C

This is similar vintage to my 35-3, which has a drain straight down inside the 'vanity' to a through-hull valve. Make sure that valve is open to start with. There aren't any u-traps on my setup (you should be able to see under the sink), so you would probably be able to get a coat hanger or longe

Ray, On my C&C 38 the bilge pump is routed into the overboard discharge of the sink in the head.  If the discharge line becomes partially or fully blocked, the bilge water will back up into the sink.  I would first check the overboard discharge valve and ensure it is fully open.  If it is open,
