rebelled against sailing and I think picked the only sport that is more

Yes you can buy SAE 30 oil and any grade for what it matters, Volvo marine

Rick,
Yanmar has recommended straight weight oils for a long time. You can still
buy 30 weight diesel oil, but it is getting hard to find. I use Rotella
15W-30 in my Yanmar and have been very happy with it. I remember a long
time ago some issue about running non-detergent oil in some engines
I dunno, There are not a lot of 6V golf cart batteries in space last time I
checked.

that the leg through the canal makes the whole trip worth it. A truly

It is about 450 miles, 200 miles less than Bermuda, and we stay inside the
Gulf Stream.
The Marion to Bermuda race starts right near you mid-June. Probably 6

Hi Tim, a little late in replying, but yes, Peregrine will be at Block Island
Race Week again this year.
Last year one of the crew brought his cruising boat and Zodiac and we rated up
and anchored just on the other side of the channel from the marina. We slept on
both boats and were comfortable
Try Bird X spikes. They make them in stainless and plastic. I use the
plastic to save weight. They've lasted for 7 years and require no
maintenance. Buy on line (bird-x.com) or at Lowes or Home Depot.

being cheaper in the long run just to move the boat. Someone from Annapolis did
the Northwest Passage in an old POS Albin Vega, so a Landfall should be a
luxury cruise ☺
