I did the same as Jim, installed hardware store GFI outlets in both the
galley and head. Each being on different circuits. That was 8 years ago and
no issues using them on a daily basis.

Far as I can tell, there is no difference between a marine GFCI and a
dryland one. I changed the first outlet in the port circuit to a GFCI and

Just had to add the real benefit of using tape instead of paint? Paint requires
a good weather window during and for several drying hours after, plus a light
sanding and a second coat. Tape is easier to apply and once you're done, you
are done, no cleanup and it can rain on it right away.

I went with 11mm VPC for my 30 because it was on sale for 40% off at West for
one day. Would have gone with 10mm if given a choice, but the savings in the
