Removed my OEM aluminum diesel tank now 35 years old. Exterior looks great but interior shows a number of corrosion issues. Had to remove fittings and saw off the inlet fitting to get the tank out of the locker so was committed when I did that to getting a new tank. That said, the hidden

Related to the subject of instrument covers, I may have the last functioning set of Navman/Northstar instruments in North America. But some of the old covers are shot, and I’ve been unable to purchase any more from Navico or EBay. Until I replace the instruments – which is on the project

Another nice feature with the Jabsco Y-valve is the adjustable outlets. I have a photo on my blog showing the inlet coming up from below with one Y-outlet going straight up to the deck for pump outs and the other Y-outlet coming out horizontally with a short hose into the macerator. photo

Thanks all! I have Forespar valves. I find them hard to impossible to turn. I'll see how much room I have and go from there. I have to agree with Danny - If Peggy and RC Collins agree there is a high probability they are right. Joel On Tue, Nov 7, 2017 at 9:20 AM, Matthew L. Wolford via

Hi Bruce The good news is that $20 is not really that bad and these covers stand up very well to UV. We used to have a Standard Horizon CP180 chartplotter mounted on bulkhead of previous boat (Nut Case). Was new in 2009. Within three years the cover was so brittle that pieces were falling

Just looked at the Practical Sailor review of Y-valves. The findings were essentially as follows: 1) if space is an issue, go with Bosworth or Forespar (Forespar preferred); 2) if space is not an issue, Jabsco is the best buy pick (that’s what I have, and it works fine); and 3) if you want

I used the 101/102 on my boat.  Although it can be a struggle there are some things that mike it a bit easier to deal with.  the heat gun will help it bend a bit tighter and also help it slide over the fittings.  heat the ends and use the liquid soap and it will slide on fittings pretty
