Captain Andrew J. Rae and Sons in Halifax just rebuilt my Ritchie
Globemaster. They replaced the dome, the 12V light assembly, O-ring,
clamping ring, base assembly and fluid. I picked it up this afternoon and
I'm very pleased with it. I asked if they are able to source parts in
Canada. They said
Johnny, I keep a list of boats and owners that may interest you. The boats
were made from 1989 till 1995 and were called C 34R, Plus and XL. Your
vessels HIN will state the model type. Let me know if you're interested.

Hi Dave,
I just use the regular cheapo yellow plastic 5 gal Jerry can I bought at
Advance Auto parts..
When I first saw it I didn't care for the "over engineered" spout system
now mandated by the feds but it turns-out to work really well. It does
not allow the fuel to flow until you press the

Please forgive me for joining the group late. I am sure this has been covered
ad nauseam! But I have a quick question about my HIN#, specifically the last
four digits/letters which end in M78E. I understand that 78 is the production
year but have no idea what the M/E stand for?
Thanks so
☹️. Won’t be able to make it after all this year. Son had to have surgery
Wednesday so we are being good parents and grandparents and hovering. .

I am leaving Kent Island by boat early Saturday. If all goes well, I'll
have a good ride with a NE wind. We may be able to stop by tonight at
the dock by car.

ps - Go away Willa sick of hurricanes and remnants thereof this year!!!
This is the one that I put in my 1981 34 this summer:

1 inch ID, 1-1/4 inch OD. 4 inches is a little long but I just let it stick out
half an inch rather than trying to cut it.

I am replacing the cutless bearing on our 1981 C 34 next week and need to
pre-order the cutless bearing as we are only hauled out for a day. It is a 1
inch shaft – does anyone know what the outside diameter of the bearing is as
they come in different OD’s.
Thanks

I only made a 3D scan of my 7" compass cover, sorry about that...
Yes, they do make a transparent 3D printed plastic in different materials -
pretty amazing stuff, I want to get into printing other things for my boat
down the road.

Thank you,
Mine is a 5'' and it is the clear plastic dome that I need to replace! Do
they have transparent material for 3d printing? Thanks for the link, I found
your nice video blog so will check it out!
Cheers,
Maurice

The volume in the fuel tank is fairly small, most of our boats it would be less
than 0.1 cubic meter.
At around 90 degrees Fahrenheit that would be about 1/10 of an ounce of water
in the air in an
empty tank.

Greetings,
The dome/lens on our Ritchie globe Navigator compass model SP-05 has crazed and
cracked and is leaking its dampening liquid. Turning to canadian members here
as I am wondering if anyone has ever sources replacement parts for their
compass in Canada. I found source in the US but
Yea, you gotta stuff a rag in each end. I'll usually try to prop it up
somehow, if a can to let it drip back into the Jerry can for a while if
at all possible. I actually left the hose from my oil extractor propped
up from last weekend to let the oil drain out of it all week before I

My problem with funnels (.have it) jigger hoses (have it) is the mess

In Maryland we have high humidity and large temperature changes during the
winter. I had to rebuild the wood supports for my fuel tank because so much
water would condense on it the wood rotted!
The aluminum tank is frequently covered with drops of water on the outside
during the winter.
