Look at the material safety data sheet for Sew Clean. It's phosphoric acid. In my opinion, at $50/gal that is a bit pricey for phosphoric acid. On the other hand, Klean Strip Concrete etch and cleaner is also phosphoric acid and at about the same strength. Home Depot sells it for $18/gal. Vine

Vinegar isn’t likely to fix an already clogged head, but flushing some every now and then is a great preventative measure. It also works on RWC engines to flush deposits out before they get too bad. Every now and then I run my exhaust hose into a trash can full of vinegar and also run the engine

Hello all, So let me ask a question on this issue. I found that vinegar is just not strong enough to fix the calcium buildup in the head. I tried a mixture of 10% muriatic acid cut through it quickly, and the last year or two I have taken to flushing some through the headand directly overboard.
