I'm a bit puzzled by the talk about prop walk and offset shafts.
I've found that prop walk is pronounced when the shaft is on centerline, but
when the shaft is offset, it is offset to minimize prop walk. i.e. If the prop
pulls to port, then the shaft is offset to starboard cancelling the effects

No, the one on CL is at Pirates Cove in Portsmouth. I've noticed the one at
NEB and wondered what the story was with that one.
By the way, I saw you heading north to the yard the other day, Harry.
Mirage looks terrific, even after a full season.

Beautiful sunset sail on our little Herreshoff 12 1/2 on Newport harbor last
night. Followed by a glass of wine at the Candy Store overlooking the harbor
and our boat.

The great thing about those pumps is that they are easy to refurbish. Just
replace the diaphragm and valves and you're done. Usually.

David, I use Fine Line tape on my models making the same curves only at
1/2" to the foot! You should be able to make 3/4" tape go around the bends
at full scale.

Yes, tape the stripes then sand up to them. I'd say wet sand with 220 or
320, depending on how much shine you're after. If the tape edge gets messed
up, just re-tape it before you paint.
I'd use awl grip, again. I would call the techs at the company and ask if

I think you're looking in the right direction. I have one of the Par Max

Read also what it says about power vessels. When you have the engine on,
your boat is a motor vessel.

Rob, I'm pretty sure the steaming light is still required to be shown when
you're motoring or motorsailing.

Rick it was common starting in the early '80s or so for race boats to have
three halyard mastheads with any useable for a job and the outer ones for
spinnakers, too. They did away with cranes. I think it's the same way now.
Peregrine has four halyards, but no cranes.

I take my tack to a block just aft of the furler. I also have a wide web that
wraps around the furled headsail and keeps the tack near centerline. Ease the
tack as you get further downwind.
Halyard definitely at the mast. Yes, use the outer halyards. On a three-halyard
masthead only the "wings"
Cool! I'll do that. Thanks, Fred!
By the way, my e7D and EV 200 autopilot have been working well on my Maine

He should definitely go inside. Keep an eye on the chart in the River because
there are a couple of slightly confusing bits but it will be no problem for
that boat...even with an outboard engine.

Funny you should say...I just replaced all the saloon and galley lights with
dim able warm white LEDs from my friend Dwight at IMTRA. The ones over the nav
table and galley are bi-color; red and white and worked a treat last night
coming out of the Bay of Fundy.
The warm white color makes the ca
