Abstracts of title are cool. Touche' had a mortgage of $62,400 on it in
the early 80's. Not bad for a boat with a list price of ~$19,000 in 1971.

for Touche' from the 70's. PHRF certificates
Ok, I went ahead and ordered an Abstract of Title from the USCG, and it arrived
today.
From what I see, there was Preferred Mortgage taken out in 1981 for
$182,408.40.
It is not totally clear to me. This seems high. Maybe it included extras

the first purchaser paid in 1972 for the boat alone - not even considering the

There's really only one place for those winches to be located. I think I
know the answer but not 100% sure.
The only clue is on the page entitled "Standard Loose Equipment". The
handwritten note says "2 #26 Barlow winches". When I purchased the
boat, it had Barlow 28's for the
