Well Mike Hoyt, I sail in Nova Scotia too, St. Margaret's Bay mostly good
winds, 15-25 apparent from SW most days and I have a RF Doyle 135% crosscut, 8
oz with tuff luff,

Hi folks, I am new to the list and have just purchased a 33 mk ii centreboard
and am looking for recommendations on best overall size for a new Genoa. We are
cruisers and sail on lake On
Yeah, definitely get a feel for the 120 and 135. You will probably never
miss any added speed you would have had from anything larger.

Thanks all for your input. To answer some of your questions. The boat does have
a furler. Most of the time it will be my wife and I, we both crew on friends
boats for racing. I have several Susan Hoods and LO300s under my belt including
the big wind year. Generally on Lake on Ontario we get 15-2
We're on Lake Huron with our 33 Mk II. We have a 155, a 130, and a 95. The 155
is great for those quiet summer days, the 130 in spring and fall and only used
the 95 once late last fall for the single handed challenge. I'd suggest a 130
for cruising, if you're only going to have one. You didn't
Talk to a local sail maker who is familiar the sailing conditions. 120,
135, 145 are all reasonable. The larger the over lap the more work by the
grinder during tacks. The smaller the sail the less likely you will be
over powered when the wind pipes up.
Are you going to have a furler? Tuff luf

recommended a 120.
