I've been using Nu-Finish on all my stuff for years. Easy to apply, I only use
a buffer on the big boat 'cause my arm gets tired. Advertised as once a year on
cars, seems to do the trick for me.

The first year, it is a bit of a job. You will need to remove all old
wax and other contaminants embedded in the gelcoat. The gelcoat must be
completely free of old wax, and especially any traces of old compound
that have been rubbed into the surface. Poli-Glow will not adhere to old
residues f
Agree with Bill, it's easy and it looks good. Last year I stripped the hull
down to bare gelcoat again and built up 8-10 layers of Poli Glow. It was
still easier than wax/buff. The average year is a walk in the park.

For the last 16 years with INDIGO I've been using soap and water and, after
it's dry, a coat or two of Turtle Wax. Lasts all summer and looks just fine.

year couldn't find it locally so I went with Maguirs. I am ready to go

Not realizing that my new boat had Awlgrip, I put Poli-glow on it last spring before launching. It looked great (as usual) so I have no idea why it is “not recommended”. Dave

Poly Glow depends on the slight porosity of aged gelcoat for proper
adhesion. It is not advised for brand new boats for the same reason.
They are too slick for it to stick.

We have old Antique boats that oxidize with time and one day or another you

Sorry, but that is simply a misdiagnosis. Poli Glow is not a "quick fix"
any more than waxing is a quick fix. Your "professionals" first

Got a Poli-Glow question.
I didn't apply Poli-Glow on the hull for two years and recently noticed some
peeling. I hope to try using Poli-Strip but thought I'd ask the group for
tips. Is there any temperature minimum?
