Hauled the boat this weekend, barnacle in the paddle wheel. Still confused about the temperature reading issue but it’s been stab bow for the past few weeks. The sensor through hull does have a flap like check valve but our blank needs new o-rings. Will prep for next season. October is the time

I have had issues periodically with i60 depth display readings. This was alleviated when I ran that transducer cable away from other cables. Mike Hoyt Persistence Halifax, NS From: Bill Coleman Sent: September 24, 2020 11:24 AM To: Stus-List Subject: Stus-List Re: Raymarine ST60+ Speed

If 135° is not abnormal, then we are all in for some serious weather situations! All kidding aside, I have been going through some interesting things with my transducer as well . It is not the same, it is electromagnetic, but it is also airmar. For a period of the summer I was getting readings

It's not uncommon for the thermistor to fail. That can affect the temperature reading, but not the speed. Definitely pull the sensor. It may be fouled, or a magnet in one of the vanes might have come loose. I don't recommend painting the paddle wheel. Since the boat has been on the hard for some

We have the plug. I just don't know what condition the through-hull is in given we've never removed it and I doubt the previous owner had done it in the past decade as the boat had been sitting on the hard for the past 5 years prior to this summer. Does nobody think the temperature reading is

I have found that the pickup is very sensitive. If the wheel has any shaft okay, it will not work. Most often, manufacturers offer a bushing or bearing kit to rebuild the wheel. ___ Thanks everyone for supporting this list with your contributions. Each

I have ST-60 speed that over time lost its reading. The paddle spun freely but no reading. I replaced the paddle and its function returned. I suspect that years of fresh coatings of anti fouling bottom paint on the paddle wheel built up a thickness that blocked the impulse. Pull the paddle wheel

Hi Jeff If you have the screw on plug for the transducer then you should pull the transducer. Suprisingly little water comes in with the ST60 speed transducer removed. Process is 1. Unscrew the retaining ring, 2. Pull out the transducer, 3. Screw on the plug in place of the transducer.
