Just a quick reminder that time is running out to sign up for the 2010 CFO
convention, to be held May 21-24 in Fort Collins. Late registration fees go
into effect this coming Sunday, April 25th. Please note that financial support

Heard about some Great Horned Owls that had taken up at the Safeway at
Wadsworth and Church Ranch in Westminsters. Sure enough, right above
the entrance to the store up on a brick pillar maybe 15 feet above the
sidewalk sat a pair of GHO's. Store was pretty busy at about 3:30PM

Tried posting this twice, but hopefully this will go through. We
had our FOY male Broad-tail hummingbird come looking for the feeders
on Sunday, April 18. He went to two of the three locations where there
are normally feeders, feeders weren't up yet! Timing for arrival is
about right

Chico Basin Ranch Monday 4/19 to good result - but low numbers. (She was unable

Yesterday we went north and checked out Eastlake, McKay reservoirs in
Adams county. Lots birds, none very unusual.
Then we shot up to St. Vrain State Park just off I 25.
There is a large collection of Nests in the Cottonwoods behind the
ponds.
The nests were occupied by about equal
Colette Pitcher told me of the Western Grebe's courtship display at Wood's Lake
and I went tonite. It was great. A total of six birds performed the courtship
