Mary Geder and I birded May 5th, during the morning, in Bent county. At the
intersection of county road JJ and County road 16 we watched for a long time
35 Ibis feeding. One was a Glossy Ibis. The eye, in different lighting
conditions was dark brown, legs were grayish with pinkish/reddish

Yesterday, Team Not-Just-Pigeons had a very successful day trying to
uncover as many species as possible in Denver County while raising support
for Audubon Society of Greater Denver. We exceeded our modest goal of 60
species by 20, with a lifer or two and some decently rare birds.
At least three of four times a week a colleague and I walk the South Platte
River parkway paths at lunchtime somewhere between Mile High Stadium and
“City of Cuernavaca Park” (just downstream of 20th Street). Yesterday we
were surprised to find a Sage Thrasher between the trail and fence on the
