Horned Larks seen up in the foothills in the Evergreen area (from Clear Creek

I led a group to Harriman Lake yesterday morning, and had two experienced
birders (one from San Francisco and one from New York) “positively” identify a
Fox Sparrow along the trail on the SE side of the large cattail area. I didn’t
see the bird myself.

a Scrub Jay at her suet feeder in Westminster Saturday morning. No Scrub
Jays in Adams County have been reported to ebirds for the months of
October, November and December.

At around 7:30 Friday evening, Jeff Carter observed approximately twenty
Turkey Vultures landing in neighborhood trees near U.S. 36 and Sheridan
Blvd. in Westminster. At 6:30 this morning, sixteen vultures were present.
They departed at around 9:30 a.m.

Last year we had 4 Cliff Swallow nests attached to out roof line. No issues
at all.
This year we have 8 (apparently the word got out that our house is a good
BB.) nests. One oddity I noticed: this year an adult swallow died and was
hanging half-way out of the nest (butt end out), no idea why.

I'd like to take photos at a distance at set intervals. Is there a decent
(not high-end) telescope with a built in camera with a settable timer anyone
recommends. It'll be set on a tripod indoors so power/weather isn't an
issue.
