Thanks, Kevin — I’m currently still considering this option. I cringe at my

Today at about 11:15, I encountered a flock of about 20 Pinyon Jays feeding
and flying about on a residential property on Thomas Lane, south of Boulder
on the west side of Highway 93/ Broadway. Thomas Lane is about a mile or so
south of Greenbriar in Boulder and is identified by the sign for
phrase just under
2 seconds. Clear, loud. I pride myself on song recognition, but don’t know this
one. Help!

On 26 July, on County Road 108 between Roads 69 49 in the Pawnee Grasslands,
I saw a sparrow that I couldn't ID, and would like some help, please. It flew
before I could photo it. It was perched on a fence with a large flock of Lark
Buntings. I name it sparrow because of the shape,
Duh! Grasshopper Sparrow. VERY different from the ones on Marshall Mesa in
Boulder.

We've seen a white dove at our feeder in Boulder on and off all
summer. It has a collar like an Eurasian Collared Dove, but it's
smaller. We think it's an African Collared-Dove, Streptopelia
roseogrisea, and probably is an escapee from a wedding ceremony.--
