OK, let's get cooking. Here are some patches that are needed to
ifup-ppp to support installing a "demand dial" ppp interface. Of course
requisite work in linuxconf should be done to allow it to set some of

I installed mandrake 7.0 on my machine that has the g400 max on it. it works
fine BUT no dual mode. also it seems to not want to allow the high
resolutions... if I try anything at 32 bit above 800 x 600 I get a flicker
effect on the test screen.
I hope I can see double in linux soon.

You are using dhcpcd, right? It is written in the man page that the -R
option would prevents dhcpcd from replacing existing /etc/resolv.conf file.
Now you just have to find out where this command is issued. Maybe line 119
of /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup

During the install it sets up the PPP . I tell it where the modem is . COM
2=ttsy1. I get NO errors during the install.
