These are all cursory observations running as root. No program was
looked at in depth.
If the text looks messed up, it is because I used kjots to make notes

First tab is "Background"
"Mode:" set that to "Background Program"
Press the "Setup" button below.

I have just tried to upgrade rpm to 4.0, and I have loosed my rpm database.
So I came back to rpm.
I'd like to know how to update from rpm 3.0 to rpm 4.0 without loosing rpm
database.

Yesterday i installed the cooker on my machine. If i boot in single-user mode ev
erything seems fine but when i thry to boot with network i get a lot of messages

Should there not be some kind of "conflicts" and/or requires
relationships between devfs, and the dev and MAKEDEV packages? I guess

JavaScript is decidedly hit and miss.
Any pages with Flash 5 content just appear blank.
Flash 4 plugins don't load or run.
Real player is not there. It puts up the Real logo, but that's it.

After installing rpm-4.0-6mdk the rpm database shrunk to just one package,
i.e. rpm-4.0-6mdk !!
Going back to rpm-3.0.5-25mdk.i586.rpm the entire database came back, but I
had to install it twice to get rid of rpm-4.0-6mdk.
