I wonder how I can add a package which consist of several modules
to the kernel/3rdParty directory.
I inspected the other packages in 3rdParty, but did not get
any idea, how I can get a package with several *.o files
built and included in the kernel-RPM.

There's still no working driver for those "HighEnd" (CAD) S3968 based

I resolved the problem by two means:
1. upgrade to binutils-2.11.90.0.27.
This removed everything but:

so, somehow the linker does not find the symbols

mouse and XFree86 on Linux Mandrake (8.0 or Cooker) without the need
for XFdrake (as XFdrake requires "xfs" running, which is not ok IMHO...)

and now PCMCIA network does not start.
The missing pieces are the pcmcia-modules in

the graphical install misses the variant "de-latin-nodeadkeys", so I had
to
modify the file /etc/sysconfig/keyboard after the installation.
