I get the list just fine. One thing to note, though. For some reason

So, that wouldn't cause any problems for when I don't have the burner?
Only type it when it's there, right?

The only reason that I don't do that is because I have to borrow the
burner from a friend, so I only have it for a night or two at a time.
Plus, I have 3 hdd's so I have to disconnect my CD-ROM drive to use the
burner. It's quite a mess.

Well...
The question is, is numlock on when you enter runlevel 3? 'Cuz I have
kind of the same problem, but it's not because of the numlock setting.
It's because of Enlightenmen

Hello...
I was wondering if there was a way to stay on the mailing list, but not
receive the E-Mails for a while? Kind of like putting my address on hold.
My Win4Lin Beta list has that option. I would like to stay on for questions
and stuff, without having to rejoin all the time, but 150 or so E
Partition Magic has the option to create a bootdisk. Now, you have to
have windows installed to make the initial bootdisk, but from them on
just boot with the disk. You don't have to have any OS's on there if
you do it that way.

The wheel does work just fine as a third mouse button. I'm not sure if

Oh, wow...
Now, if I have a regular CD-ROM drive and I switch it with a CD-RW (IDE)
and do this link, burning proggies will work right off? Also, when I
switch back to CD-ROM (all IDE's are filled and the CD-RW isn't mine)
then things will still work right with the link?

I guess you could install Win9x under VMWare (http://www.vmware.com) or

I have a FirstMouse and an IntelliMouse Trackball and when using the

Ok...
I downloaded/installed that and when I try to run the new gaim I get

Ok...
Another guy said apache_mod_perl, or something like that, from Cooker.
Did the name change between 7.1 and 7.2 and then again between 7.2 and
Cooker? If so, why does it keep changing?
Hehehe...

What RPM do I download/install to get libperl.so.0? I'm trying to
update to the Cooker version of gaim and it says I need it, but I don't
see libperl*.rpm in the RPMS directory, although there are way too many
perl*.rpm's.
JJ
Yeah...
For some reason the Cooker directory has some filenames that are of a
higher number than KDE's. Like -5mdk on Cooker and -3 on KDE.

I haven't seen any responce to this post, which is quite odd, so I'm

It probably changed httpd.conf back to default. You would have to
re-enable allow all, I think for /home/*/public_html/. I don't remember
the exact coding. If there is an httpd.conf.rpmsave or something you
could just change the filename back. I've found that anytime I've
upgraded Apache.

Interesting notion. I did notice that between like noon and 9 it only
used like 5MB more, so you may be on to something.
Thanks...

Let me see if I can word this in an intelligible manner. I like
autologin, but I have multiple settings, #'d out, in .xinitrc.
Sometimes I want to startx into enlightenment, sometimes in HP Builder,

Is there a way, or an autologin alternative, to do that?
Just for verification...
Will it be posted whenever the limit problem is fixed?

Ah...
I guess I was incorrectly viewing how Linux manages its RAM. I do find
it odd, though, that X will use up an extra 50MB's, seemingly, if left
alone for 12 hours. I say this, because I rebooted at like midnight and
it showed like 80MB used, then I went to bed and when I got up and
checked a
The old-school way of configuring swap space was, if I remember
correctly, twice as much as you have physical RAM. Now, that does seem
pointless in todays RAM-happy computers. There are probably many people
that still do it, habitually.

/dev/hdb1 = swap
/dev/hdb2 = ext2 (/)

That is an interesting analysis of the situation. I guess I'm used to
the world of Windows, where you want to have as much free RAM as
possible for programs to load into. I never use much swap, but it does
seem like X's and XMMS's RAM alotment grows as time goes on, which seems
to slow my system

I was wondering if this is an actual problem, or just conflicting
programs or something...
In the screenshot clip you'll see that I'm running "top" and "gkrellm".

170MB free. I guess I'm not so much concerned about the

Now, does 7.2b3 use kdm by default? 'Cuz when I ran gdm from CLI it
looked mighty different. I didn't know about kdm.

1: For some reason, during the install, and this has happened with

Hello...
Where did the Enlightenment option go when in runlevel 5? It sure would
be nice to have that enabled so that auto-login would send me booting
into E.
Could that be a future addition, or is there already a way to do it?
JJ
Hello...
I've noticed that you disabled Enlightenment from the X login manager.
It sure would be nice to have that feature back, or if you could mention
how to add it. It would be very useful, especially with the
auto-login. Boy, booting right into E would just be the best.
JJ
Hopefully, this is the appropriate way of posting a question.
