[Cooker] Weird memory loss problems

kdm/background problems kdm basic font is blocky (courier?), and the background doesn't appear - only the traditional x black'n'white pattern. On the up-side it detected true users on first boot, which is the only time I've ever known it succeed in that. -k -- =-=-=-=-=-=-
