Hi!
Since I updated to gftp-2.0.15 it has stopped connecting to other sites (I
use passive mode due to set up fireall) and reports insistingly the
following error (this happened to me on both my Linux machines).

Hi!
It seems like a recent change in the Galaxy theme causes gftp-gtk to break.
This is constantly reproduceable on my Linux (x86) box. Whenever I go to
gftp's "Edit Bookmarks" menu, I get a floating point exception. Running it
under gdb didn't produce much meaningful results other than this:

hi
gftp is built with GTK2, but says it requires GTK1.2 - can this be changed?

Hi
can the GFTP 2.0.13 in Mandrake be recompiled as a gtk 2 app? It
already builds and runs cleanly with the --enable-gtk20 option at
configure, and it looks so much nicer :0

If I recall correctly I did send it to the author, but I could be wrong
(ive slept since then). Ill look at the code as soon as I get a chance...
which I dont forsee happening until this weekend but you never know.
The cause of the problem is that when you remove the files it tries to

This is a known bug that has been in gFTP for ages. It is due to some
mutex locking issues with threads. I worked on this a while back and had a
patch made, im not sure if this patch is still included in the cooker
version, furthermore Im not 100% sure if the patch works, but it worked
well in
I have encountered a repeatable bug in gFTP. If you have a list of files
set for download and you are in the middle of downloading those files,
if you try and remove files from the list to be downloaded it crashes
the program. Well, it actually freezes the program and it must be
xkilled. It

I tarred + bzipped the patch and it always complained about "Patch ended

Sorry, I was waiting for han to say if I made the new rpm correctly, but a
new one is at the above location. A bug report (with patch) has been sent
to the author.

I have the problem in the 2.0.11 release. I have, however, fixed the error
(well, I put it through 5 minutes of testing which previously caused the
lockup everytime). Please note that I am still working on this, and there
are actually 2 ways to fix this, I am still deciding on which on is the
best

Please don't be to mean about this man ! He has responded to bugs I submitted
in previous versions, but said at the time that, like all of us no doubt, he
was trying to juggle 1001 things and gFTP didn't always get the time he would

He seems not to want to hear about them so I just stopped sending them direct,

but it does have a few bugs which seem to persist version after version.

I am reporting a bug that has been present in the last few versions of
gFTP. When a selection of files has been made for download and the
download has begun, you cannot remove more than about 5-6 (sometimes
trying to remove 1 is enough to lock it up) of those files from the

What is the number of files and directories that you are comparing. I had a

With the latest Cooker, gFTP crashes when doing a directory compare,
then trying to delete files in the left (local) pane. Also, mandrake
control center doesn't run at all. I think it might be something to do
with the updated QT libraries Anyone else having problems??
