Hi I've just installed Mandrake 8.0 PPC on a new iBook G3 but no matter what I do I cannot get the thing to boot into Linux. The iBook has a 20 gig HD. The first partition has Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X on it, then theres the 1MB Bootstrap partition, then / Swap and /home. I've tried entering

Hello Dave! Likely you are running into the same problem that I had. I am not sure about all New World macs but Quite a few around the era of the first iMacs have a problems with their Open Firmware that prevents them from booting anything that is outside the 8 gig barrier. I have three
