I suppose you could do all that, but myself I think I'd just modify the /etc/X11R6/bin/Xpmac script: ... looks far better to me, i'll have a look asap on that... I'm still a little baffled why you 2? are having such trouble with r128. what do you call r128 ? my video card chipset ??? here

I've used XFdrake and now I can't open X11 cause I get only a black screen. I can't try other configurations cause any time I test it I get the black screen and I've to reset via hardware (and the filesystem isn't happy ;).. So I would like to go back and use Xpmac again, but .. how do I
