Can someone please refresh my memory on the best way to store an open box of brown sugar so it doesn't harden like a rock? I had to get it in order to make the October fest dinner posted on this list a few weeks ago. I used a 3 qt crock pot, but a 5 qt probably would have been better. Thanks.

I'm looking for a reliable way to label frozen foods. Stickers don't stay stuck, or they get damp and the Braille is erased. I do not have a talking device of any type for labeling and cannot afford 1 at this time, so those suggestions won't work for me. Any ideas appreciated. Rhonda

Try using Perma Braille paper from APH. Attach this to the frozen item with string, rubber band or twist tie. Perma Braille paper is like thermaform paper, but it is slick. This holds up very well in freezer and can be washed. Great for recipes and information you want for permanent storage. Try

I do the same thing Jan does, but the problem I have is my fingers get so cold then I have a hard time reading! *smile* I sometimes cut the 3x5 cards in half and use them that way. I try to also print out the name on the same card, otherwise I can never send eyeballs out to look for
