Mayonnaise Cookies
Don't cringe! These are awesome. Easy and my niece's favorite.
Ingredients:
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. white sugar
1 c. mayonnaise (real deal.no fakes or substitutes.no "salad dressing")
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla extract (or any flavor you choose)
Raw sugar for spri
ught about it I got them in June. wow!

It says right on the jar to refrigerate after opening! Ooh, six months for
eggs, no no no! I think possibly no longer than 1 month, and that's pushing
it a bit far!

they were in there since June and I guess I never thought that eggs would go
bad. I ate some of them in the summer and they were still good.

I agree with that, and yucko, when it is bad, the oil in it really has a
bad, rancid taste, and terrible odor, so you definitely would know.

Simon, it's just like any thing else, with a shelf life. Once opened, it
must be refrigerated. if kept too long, the oil in it can get an off taste,
and smell and taste rancid.

it does have an expiry date on it. I've never tasted bad mayonnaise. Just
taste it or smell it

If you ALWAYS use a clean utensil in the mayonaise, it does not have to
be refrigerated. I can attest to this from my boating days when a quart
jar would last 2 months at room temperature, which was pretty warm.
