If you want to use your workaround, enclose it into the 'exception'.
That way your mail will still be delivered although there is
no .mailfilter in users homedir.
exception {
include "$HOME/.mailfilter"

Take a look at the courier man page and look for the sizelimit file.;)
It's also available at "http://www.courier-mta.org/";.

Hi,
the problem is with the target server, not yours - it's a generally
known bug of a misconfigured MS Exchange server. To be able to send mail
there you have to add a line into your esmtproutes config file with (for
example):
excel-europe.com: /SECURITY=NONE
Try to google for it and you'l
Hi,
I would like to ask if there is a possible way how to add certain
functionality to SqWebmail by myself without hacking into Sam's code.
What I need is a trivial rule that my users can choose to activate:
- when a mail with certain parameter's come send a preformated info
message to another e-
Haven't tried it yet but I have seen courier password changing plugin
here: http://www.squirrelmail.org/plugin_view.php?id=21
Hope it helps.

Hi,
I had run into problems with Amavis (have tried all three variants) on
stable Debian Woody so I let it go and went another way.
I have currently Courier running with BlackHole mail filter and ClamAV.
Everything is on per-user base and the setup works flawlessly so far. Is

Hmm - that's interesting. Really could use more documentation to this
topic (scheme, more about the filters). A Howto would be excellent. ;)

David.

Hi,
I am now fighting my way through configuring courier-mta with virus and
spam filtering and I must admit I lack some good documentation for that.
I have read about the rejection/re-insertion metodology and would like
to ask you if you could enlighten me about it a little bit more. As far

It is. The 'password' file should be in the etc/webadmin directory.
And one more thing - check that your webadmin binary has the correct
permissions and ownership (has to be owned by the group bin if I am not
mistaken). I remember trying this a while ago and only copying webadmin
into the cgi-bin
Hi,
I wanted to ask if anyone here has any experience with Blackhole spam
filter (http://sourceforge.net/projects/blackholespam/). It has caught
my eye recently because it should be able to integrate natively with
courier-mta nad with clamav. And it's written in C not in Perl.;)
But it looks like

Hi,
I have to set local mail fitering rules for several users and I have
thought it to be a simple job with maildrop. What I did is:
1. in /etc/courier/courierd I have set
DEFAULTDELIVERY="| /usr/local/courier/bin/maildrop"
where
MAILDROPDEFAULT=./Maildir
/etc/courier/maildrop consists of:
/us
Hi,
in the last few days I'm getting these messages from courier into the
log:
Mar 13 13:29:56 ns courieresmtpd: Unexpected SSL connection shutdown
Could anyone push me to the correct direction? I would like to know why
is it writing these messages and what do they mean in connection with

Thank you all for your answers. I am running courier on debian with
mysql authentization so I suppose I won't be able to use those rpm's but
I will download them and study the source code. It would be probably the
easiest way.
