Two immediate possibilities come to mind. 1.) Is your white-balance
still in the pipeline? 2.) if you are using the 'presets' then
preserve-the-chrominance is automatically turned on and this does make
quite a difference in overall tone.
For myself, I find the output color acceptable.

To use the filmic module to its fullest abilities, you must ensure you
disable any automatically applied base curve. Something to check.

I just wanted to add another possibility: git annex.
I use it (successfully) for keeping my RAWs, the XMPs and the db in
sync. Either over network or an external USB hard drive. Once it's set
up, it's a simple matter of `git annex sync --all` and / or the usual
