them PC and LP. If I am working on LP, I usually mount the releated
folder structure with my photographs from PC via sshfs. Recently I was

Disclaimer: Pure speculation.
The clock of both computers are synchronized regularly by a time server
via internet, thus I think this is not the explanation. However, thanks

I did not expect to work with different versions (ppa vs. repository
from my distribution), just recognized during I try to get that working.
After installing the ppa version on PC, I observed the expected behavior.
