I compile for two reasons: 1. It is often a n unbearable wait for the latest version to come to ubuntu [evenYear].04 LTS, and 2. Some features are NOT in the official ubuntu build. For example, WebP support, and AVIF support. (WebP, I use, AVIF, I just want to play around with). Indeed,
