I notice that the new Road Trips Vol. 3 No. 3 has a Deep Elm Blues (sic) at
the start of the acoustic set (before Ballad of Casey Jones).

David Gans played some of these on the KPFA GD Marathon on 9 Feb. He said
Matt Smith had sent them to him. David played Casey Jones, High Time and a
very long Dire Wolf (presumably track 11 below). Fascinating to hear Jerry
at work on these songs.

He was, he was a friend of mine
Now he's dead and gone

The song between "Workin' Man Blues" and "The Only Daddy That'll Walk The
Line" is called "Julie." I believe it's a John Dawson original.

Hello Steven, after looking at your set list for
gd1987-11-14 at Long Beach Arena on Deadlists, I noticed you left out one
song in the second set: Stella Blue. It came after I Need A Miracle
and before Throwing Stones.
Just thought I'd let you know. Thanks,

An example is livedead.com, where Douglas Aldridge used to have lots of
stuff on Robert Hunter's solo performances that now doesn't seem to be
available anywhere. (Incidentally, does anyone know how to contact Douglas?)

iece that Bo Diddley
apparently did/does a lot in concerts where he names lots of musicians who
have influenced him ("Jimmy Reed" "My Man Ray Charles").
This is culled from DeadNetCentral and elsewhere - my copy of DP30 hasn't
arrived yet.

The back cover of the CD "Vintage NRPS" says the recordings came from the
shows on February 21 and 23 1971 at the Capitol Theater, Port Chester NY.
"Before Time Began" was issued on CD by Relix in 1986. Amazon still lists
it, though it seems to be out of stock and may be hard to get.

I was wondering if the dead realeased any acoustic shows besides reckoning

Does anyone know anything
about the Pig Pen Demo Tracks from 1966?
In talking with a friend he mentioned to me about the "11 year Playing in
the Band". This is the first time I had ever heard about it and I am
interested in the dates of the shows that start and finish the "11 year
Playing in the Band". I'm one of those guys who loves this weird stuff.

time that it's possible they were played on successive nights .
My particular interest is in his reference to Garcia having played and sung
a verse of Sweet Georgia Brown. Have you or others heard of this before?
