Hello All,
I have openoffice running in a 32 bit chroot and things are working smoothly,
except that it can't open files on removable media, because it only has bind
mounts to /tmp and /home.
I tried adding a bind mount for the directory in /media, but then I had
trouble mounting and

Hello!
I've got a too fast clock on my Debian Pure64 machine on an AMD64 3500+.
I'm using kernel.org plain vanilla 2.6.11 - which patches should I apply
to alleviate this? (my SATA hardware won't work with any lesser kernel
version, so I need this kernel version)
Thanks and with kind regards,

I had this problem running Cedega in a chroot, accesing CD-Roms etc.
What I did might work for you:
1. comment out the mounts in /etc/fstab to do with whatever device you want
mounted in the chroot. (and unmount if its already mounted)
2. put entry similar to this in your

like for /home add a bind mount to /mnt or whateever directory includes your

i guess this should work fine with bind mounts

I have a computer which has an amd64 3000+ as processor, and i've been

amd64s. That's why I agree to become a tester for debian amd64
architectures.

I'm running gcc-3.4 on an HP laptop, and something new this morning is
that dpkg segfaults. I can run the 32-bit dpkg with only minor
encouragement, but re-installing dpkg_1.10.27.0.0.1.gcc4_amd64.deb
doesn't appear to fix anything. Any suggestions as to what to do next?

Hello all,
So I've just gotten bit by a SEGFAULT during a dpkg upgrade

The messages can be found below. Any suggestions about how to

Thanks a bunch,

May I suggest you recompile dpkg? This might solve your immediate
problems and, if not, try to compile it with symbols to see where it's
breaking.
You might also want to try using a static linked or ia32 dpkg.
