Python2.4 recommends the packages python2.4-iconvcodec,
python2.4-japanese-codecs and python2.4-korean-codecs, however these
packages do not exist.
I seem to vaguely remember the CJK codecs being folded into the core
python package for python 2.4, so that
An example would be:
/usr/bin/jack -Q -R --rename-fmt %n-%t --unusable-chars A I \;
--replacement-chars a i \; -t 1
or in the config file:
unusable_chars:[' ', 'A']
replacement_chars:['_', 'a']

It seems that rename_num which used to exist in jack 2.99.x is gone.
It's not documented in the man page nor does jack accept it as an
option. However, /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/jack_config.py
still mentions it.
