This happens with 1.2-6 from Debian woody, too.

Is there anything holding up the fixing of this bug? I'm sure that you
have figured out that the patch for this bug is as below. I am faced
with a number of packages that don't clean up the PID file (because they
don't have one and I have to make it), so the integration of this patch

Hi,
Is there any chance of configuring the awstats package so that by
default it sets up to run a regular cron job to build static html files

We've seen several awstats vulnerabilities, and it is

I uploaded a new version of yafray which appears to still have this bug
(see for example the Alpha build log). I will shortly upload a version
with the patch applied.

I will be releasing and uploading a v3.0 beta version of slocate to
unstable within the next 2 weeks, I am just wrapping up the package
and going through the bug list. I've tested the exploit attached to
the Martin's message above with no problems.
However, this doesn't help slocate in sarge. I
I suggest that the following be applied. This removes the devscripts
dependency altogether, as it's not needed.
diff -Nru /tmp/BKSAoZWDbV/cdbs-0.4.32/scripts/cdbs-edit-patch

This bug may be fixed by upstream changes in the newly uploaded 0.0.8.
Please test it once it becomes available for your platform.

I'm glad to see i'm not the only one.
I have the same problem. In fact, when snmp IF-MIB::ifInOctets and
IF-MIB::ifOutOctets are polled locally, i.e. a snmpwalk from the box where snmpd
runs, it works perfectly :
titan:~# snmpwalk -c local -v1
