meantime, some of them resulting in a possible crash.
I would suggest that Debian switches to GnuGk 2.3.5.

I can confirm this behavior and that executing (require 'caml-font)
prior to opening an OCaml file enables syntax highlighting.
Since, at least for me, syntax-highlighting is an essential part of an
