can you please explain a little bit your environment. What you are doing
or trying to do while icedove is crashing.
What extensions did you use, happen this crash also without any
extensions? (icedove --safe-mode)
What happen if you use no locales support? Try to start with
'LANG= icedove

over the last weeks I have expanded the Wiki page, there should be
mostly all written to make a backtrace off any crash from icedove.
For the first it would be fine to know which versions you use.

Did you have installed some extensions?
Do you have tried out to start with a clean icedove profile, with a
backup of your old profile of course.

the bug ist still open and now reassigned to icedove. In the between
time serveral new versions of icedove are released. Possably this
behavior is fixed in actual versions.

During this is a cloned bug I was taking the wrong bugnumber while

The same behavior I had on my Squeeze installation on a ARM based IOmega
Iconnect.
After some searching through the web I found a solution on
