As discussed in #1052697.
When a source package is renamed (e.g. gcc-* and python3.*), often we
carry across the old changelog. apt-listchanges then includes the full

In these particular cases,
seen in
apt-listchanges where it isn't ignoring changelog entries copied over

Requires-Dist: sniffio (>=1.1,<2.0)
I'd call this an upstream poetry issue.
It shouldn't declare optional dependencies as required. It should rather
create an extra to encapsulate any optional dependencies that aren't
part of a defined extra.

https://github.com/pypa/setuptools/commit/0df40810ec54590c888ae0e4073d73f731c91f4a
And the solution is to exclude "debian*" from options.packages.find
Trivial workaround: build the virtualenv with --no-setuptools. That's
the future, anyway.

Breezy is the last package that Build-Depends on cython3-dbg. This
binary package doesn't need to exist any more, you should be able to
just drop the Build-Depend, without any changes.

and the dh-python bug (1035675).
Some of the fixes were staged in experimental, because we were in freeze
at the time.
Some of the packages need upstream work, and would have to be removed
from testing for the transition.
Please let me know when we should go ahead with this.

Hi Debian (2023.05.06_19:19:54_-0400)
> ERROR: No matching distribution found for cachetools>=5.3
This is going to require a new upload of python3-cachetools.
That plus the other changes in dh-python, and a B-D on python3-wheel get
it to build.

I see no upstream git activity since 2019. And they ignored the

Time to think about migrating packages off it and removing it from the

Hi,
With the tox 4 support in dh-python (bug 1035675), python-bottle will
need to Build-Depend on python3-wheel, to continue to build
successfully.
