With linux-source-2.6.14-3 I had to disable the ipw2200-driver and the
ieee80211-subsystem, build the kernel, build the modules from the
ieee80211-source and ipw2200-source packages until I had a working
ipw2200-driver again.

I wrote a patch that fixes the UTF-8 output issue. Seems to work fine in
non-wrap and wrap modes, with unformatted and formatted text (e.g. bold text
from man's output).

wavemon used to work with 2.6.12 and ieee80211-1.1.5 and ipw-1.0.6, after I
switched to 2.6.14 and ieee80211-1.1.6 and ipw-1.0.8 it stopped working (with
the above errormessage). Recompiling the wavemon-package from sid sources
didnt help.
