It's not possible to have one partition in use by two computers at the same

I was in the same trouble last week and I find the solution at
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=126898&repeatmerged=yes
Basically you must run manually '/var/lib/dpkg/info/slapd.postinst'
configure
and then '/etc/init.d/slapd' start after installing.

I am ahving problems connecting to a local LDAP server. Here is what I did.
Install slapd

install pibpam-ldap
I run ldap and it starts OK. If I run netstat -ln it shows ldp port as

If I try ldapsearch (with or without -h option) I get an error message tha
I think its time to switch this list over to a closed (ie, must be

Is this recursive? Can I just put in the line /mnt/ and it'll ignore everything
in there?

Hi,
I want to setup a redundant mail system using exim with maildirs.
I thought I use two mail servers (one scsi controller each)
and one scsi raid.
1.Server1 ---SCSI--- RAID5 ---SCSI--- Server2
or to remove the RAID as a Single Point of Failure: 2 RAIDs and 4 SCSI
controllers:

run every 5 mins and have never run into a problem... but then again I

Hi all,
At the moment I have one dhcp server running ISC dhcpd, and its working
fine. However I wish to add another in case the main one goes down. Is it
as simple as setting it up on another machine with similar config? My
worry is that a client will request an address and both server's will
yes, could be a redhat script init problem,or some of my apps want others
running before them.
but with debian i think your radius would work great!

Hello All!
We looking for a Radius server capable to interact with PostgreSQL.
GNU Radius seems to be the best choice for now.
The question is how stable the GNU Radius is? Is it really worth using?
Can anyone suggest other Radius servers to work with Postgres?
Please, share your expirience.
