its desireable to have the same behaviour, i've added -wildcards to the
mksquashfs call (if lenny/sid is used; and a warning when etch is used).

is nothing you can install, it's not a distribution. It is
a 100% Debian system with a tweak to run from a read-only medium (e.g.
cdrom). If you want to install Debian, use a regular Debian installation
medium.

you are saying that you can reproduce it with the /current/ packages in
debian (whereas current means the current ones, and live-initramfs 1.130
with, optionally, your patches you've done to your 1.110 version in grml)?
