That depends on how you define "working KDE". The KDE metapackage depends

You have to install the sudo package to be able to use sudo.
If you want to install sudo you will first need to open a terminal and type:
$ su
$
# aptitude update <- let it do it’s thing and it will tell you if there are any
updates
# aptitude safe-upgrade <- let it do it’s upgrade
# apt
I have been looking for an Ethernet driver for my Asus m4n72-E
motherboard. The Debian install apparently can't recognize it, and
doesn't have the correct driver to load. It is the Realtek 8211CL
Gigabit LAN controller featuring AI NET 2. Does anyone know where I
can get a Linux driver for this?
Unless you are running debian in a virtual machine under xp I don't see what
you are saying by wizard?
With debian there are several ways to handle installing packages, and
neither of them are like windows by double clicking on them. There may be
gui tool that does this but I am not sure. You

I cannot answer to your question, but if your are effectively new to Debian,
getting familiar with it through the STABLE distribution (currently Lenny) is a
good idea.

x" line's supposed to mean when examining solutions to solve package
dependences through aptitude. I noticed that the value of "x" may differ
greatly from one solution to another.
