I would like to set up dosemu in such a way that every user can have
his own hdimage, or some subdirectory of his homedirectory that will
be mounted through lsredir IF IT EXISTS.
I just tried redefining $_hdimage in one users .dosrc, but that didn't

I installed the dosemu_0.66.7-13.deb with raw config.sys and
autoexec.bat.
After I boot to drive A (executing dos -A with a Win95 bootdisk in
/dev/fd0), the MSDOS editor can start but not functioning at all.

When I installed Debian on my Toshiba Satellite recently I had dosemu working,
though not perfectly. Now it doesn't work at all. I've no idea what I've

This is a problem that had me stumped for ages. Turns out that the reason
dosemu out of the box doesn't allow lredir is because the version of
FreeDOS shipped with it doesn't support lredir. It is highly confusing as

First get dosemu somewhere at Internet. In this very site you'll find
the version 0.64.3, which was the one I used to run Win 95 under
Linux. I beleive that any newer version will work with no problems. Be
sure you're logged as root. If not, use the command su.
Install the tgz package
