no OpenJDK, os usuários da Sun VM estarão contemplados, pois o OpenJDK
está, por assim dizer, contido no Sun JDK.

Hola amigos, me gustaría instalar el netbeans 5.5 y no lo encuentro en
el repositorio oficial.
¿Como puedo hacer para instalarme el netbeans 5.5?
1) Me bajo los binarios desde sun.com?
2) Hay algún lugar donde me pueda bajar el .deb?

Y si por esta vez ocupas los repos de lenny o sid? Luego los comentas
y punto :) o bien buscar en los backports [1]

this really looks more like a mistake or transition in the backports

I am trying to install java6 from etch backports on an amd64 machine.
Problem is that sun-java6-jre (machine independent) is version
6-06-1~bpo40+1
(which is version i386 uses) but the rest of amd64 sun-java5 packages are
6-00-2~bpo.1

You can also use apt-get instead.
apt-get remove --purge sun-java5-jdk
apt-get install sun-java5-jdk [although the newer one is 6, if you
need the class Console]
You won't have to confirm anything, apt will do it for you.

tengo instalado el jdk de la pagina de sun y no lo instale por
aptitude o apt-get, hay que utilizar:
update-alternatives --install /etc/alternatives/java java
/usr/local/java/jre/bin/java
/usr/local/java es mi JAVA_HOME
