through a T1 (I think). Anyways, this machine has a Microsoft Proxy Server

Internet using Microsoft Proxy Client 2.0.

I am trying to run apt through my companies MS proxy server but I'm not
having much success.
I have read the man pages for apt and apt.conf, and added a line to my apt.conf
along the lines
of http::Proxy {"http:///luscombes:@msproxy:80/";};
but it still will not

I am sure there are better proxies if you want to install on Linux, but this
supports both Linux and Windows.
Personally I am using it on my wife's Windows computer which is connected to
the Internet. It is providing access to my Linux laptop.
