Until IPswitch offers SPF checking during the connection
(where it really belongs), I can't see any benefit of doing that in
Imail.
Might as well let Declude handle it all and make it part of
your weighting scheme.

I was looking through my settings and noticed that SPF is
enabled for Imail’s anti-spam but all other tests are disabled. I am
using Declude junkmail so is there any reason to have SPF enabled for Imail?

Worse, David, is that the then-current all_list.dat is

Two suggestions:
For whitelist traffic within your private network you can use WHITELIST AUTH
to whitelist users who authenticate with your servers for sending, and/or
whitelist sending IPs so that all traffic from those IPs is whitelisted.
This can be done by CIDR.

If you have IMAIL 8.x this supports WHITELIST AUTH which authenticates
users and whitelists their emails.
1. Imail needs to be setup to require authentication for local domains
2. All users should be required to authenticate
This will remove real user from false postives and scan forged email

Is there a way to whitelist our domain within our private network but will

Hi Herb,
I agree wholeheartedly, and have posted
on keeping a current issues list on their site several times in the
past. However, David Barker did just kindly post a list of known
issues they are working on. We're waiting on him to tell us when they are

Hi John;
Thanks for the links, and yes, I did just join this list this week.
Kind of discouraging actually to see that this has been a known issue
for a long time and has not been solved. I had not even thought of the

That would be Declude's gateway product.
Since it works as a gateway, it's not tied to any one mail server.
